Plumbers in Guadalupe

Pressed between Tempe and Interstate 10, with Phoenix across the freeway, Guadalupe covers roughly one square mile. Small on the map, dense on the ground: older homes on small lots, set close together, supplied mostly through galvanized steel and draining through cast iron. The two materials age at their own pace, but in a town this old both are well into their service lives.

Cast iron was the standard drain pipe when much of Guadalupe was built, and it does wear out. It corrodes from the inside, the bottom of horizontal runs thins first, and the scale that builds along the walls catches everything that passes. Eventually a section cracks or the bottom rots through, and a drain that has been slow for months backs up for good. Cast-iron drain failure is the most common call we take here, and the first step is always the same: a camera inspection to see whether the pipe is scaled but sound, or genuinely failing. Scaled pipe can often be brought back with hydro jetting. Failing pipe needs sewer line repair, and on lots with little room to dig, the plan has to account for the neighbors’ walls and yards as much as your own.
