Commercial · Commercial Hydro Jetting

Grease does not clog a pipe. It closes it, slowly, from every direction at once.

High-pressure jetting takes a commercial kitchen line back to bare pipe. Cabling cannot do this, and on a grease line it never could.

Commercial Hydro Jetting in Phoenix & Scottsdale, priced before we start.

Fats, oils and grease leave a commercial kitchen as warm liquid and arrive in the line as something closer to candle wax. They coat. They build in layers on the pipe wall, evenly, until the bore is a fraction of what it was and the first substantial solid stops moving.

A drain cable is the wrong tool for this and always has been. It bores a channel through the deposit and leaves the rest of it in place. The kitchen drains again, which feels like a fix, and the pipe re-closes over the following weeks because nothing was actually removed.

Jetting is the only method that restores the original bore. Water at up to four thousand PSI, directed backwards at the pipe wall, cutting deposit off and flushing it toward the cleanout. It is more expensive than cabling. On a grease line it is also the only thing that works.

When a commercial line needs jetting

  • Backups on a predictable interval

If you can guess roughly when the next one is due, the pipe wall is the problem. Cabling is buying you intervals rather than solving anything.

  • Slow drainage across several fixtures

Multiple slow fixtures on one branch means the shared run is restricted, not any individual trap.

  • Odour that returns after cleaning

Decomposing grease in the line. No amount of surface cleaning reaches it because it is not on the surface.

  • Grease trap filling faster than it used to

Often a sign that the line upstream has narrowed and flow characteristics have changed.

How the visit goes

  1. 01

    Camera before pressure

Jetting a compromised line makes a bad situation worse. Older cast iron in particular gets inspected before anything is run through it.

  2. 02

    Nozzle matched to the deposit

Grease, roots and hard scale each want different heads and pressures. One nozzle for every job is how pipes get damaged.

  3. 03

Cut upstream, flush toward the cleanout

Material leaves the system rather than being driven further down the line to become somebody else's problem, or yours again next quarter.

  4. 04

    Before-and-after footage, in writing

You see the same section of pipe twice. If the difference is not obvious, we have not finished.

What it typically runs

$450 – $1,800

A single accessible kitchen line sits low in the range. Long runs, multiple lines, or overnight scheduling move it up. Camera work is included rather than added afterwards.

Financing is available on larger jobs

Every restaurant in the Valley pays for its grease line eventually. The only question is whether it pays on a schedule or on a Friday.

Hydro Jetting: questions we get asked

Straight answers, the same ones we give on the phone.

Will jetting damage older cast iron?
Sound cast iron handles it without difficulty. Cast iron that is already cracked or badly corroded should be repaired rather than jetted — which is exactly why we camera first. If we find a line that should not be jetted, we tell you before we run the pump, not after.
How long does a kitchen need to be out of service?
Typically two to four hours for a single line, which is why nearly all of this work happens overnight or before open. Most clients lose no trading time at all.
Is a maintenance schedule cheaper than reacting?
Materially, yes — and the saving is mostly not in the plumbing invoice. Scheduled visits are priced as standard work rather than emergency work, and they happen when the kitchen is closed rather than when it is full.
